  2. B/c I don't know where the heck else to stick it ...

So, I like Omi and Kori, but I think I'll stick w/Omi b/c it's just what I'm used to, and I am (mildly at least) a creature of habit. Although Kori is pretty cool ... gah. noncommital. definitely a character flaw of mine. :)

you make a fine point. i don't know if the writing part is hard. i think what's hard is putting all of the pieces of your story together when you reach a disjointed point; or creating a scene that you need to fill a gap, when that scene is being created b/c you need it rather than b/c your fingers are telling you to write it; or getting past writer's block when your muses have taken a vacay; or editing (gah!) scenes, potentially cutting things out, rearranging, etc. Those are the hard parts, at least for me. The writing? That's why we all do this. If we wanted something we considered to be hard, we'd buy a chemistry set or learn German or knit a sweater or ... you know. whatever your fancy.

You know ... I still don't know exactly what fanfiction entails, so a snippet would be pretty fannntastic. (sry. pun kind of intended.)

I love dialogue. Sometimes I'm good at it, sometimes I'm not. If you write fantastic dialogue, the rest will work itself out. That's my opinion, anyway. Hey ... maybe you could do a story all w/dialogue and characters shifting in their seats .... :)

I'd never even heard of a beta reader until i started blogstalking. Who does it? Do you pay them? What the heck?

    personal demographics:
state: Florida (the NW part, central time)
    age: 27

I loved the bit about your stepmother encouraging you to go out and make "real friends." what makes them "real," exactly, when online friends are not? Their physical presence? B/c that's just a warm body, not necessarily a good friend.

I love staying cooped up inside. I love my computer. And I have no shame about it.
